I am pleased to address you today as we mark the end of yet another National Youth Service Corps Year in Saki East Local Government. Precisely a year ago, you were mobilized and deployed to the Local Government for the one year programme. Over the years, the NYSC Scheme has continued to play the role of a partner in progress in the steady development of the Local Government. Hon Adeniran says that Corps members have contributed to the socio-economic and political development of the Local Government by rendering helping hands in the promotion of unity amongst the citizenry, good health care delivery system, agriculture, tourism, cultural and integration. In the like manner, Hon Adeniran commend the authorities of the scheme in the Local Government for the effective way they managed the affairs of the outgoing corps members. I am particularly pleased with the able leadership of the NYSC Secretariat in Saki East Local Government. Today’s ceremony marks a successful completion of a phase in the life of the outgoing corps members and transition into another. As you depart from the scheme today, you are being discharged into a larger society full of challenges. The first and immediate challenge many of you will face is that of employment; another is how to settle down and raise a family. Others are how to survive and leave a good and successful life. All these challenges are surmountable no matter how daunting they appear. Hon. Adeniran also advice that those of you who will not get paid employment immediately is to look inwards and tap from your innate abilities so as to get engaged in self employment. Do not detest little beginnings, but take solace in this common saying that little drops of water make a mighty ocean. Even where Rome was not built in a day, works on its building commenced in a day. The longest journey begins with the first step. I enjoin you to make your first step a right one in the right direction. The horizon is clear even where the cloud appears blurred she stated. I wish to use this opportunity to restate that the present administration in Saki East Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Rahmat Adeniran Mosunmade is irrevocably committed to youth empowerment, wealth creation and poverty alleviation. As we promised during our electioneering campaigns, we are already implementing programmes and projects that will provide employment opportunities for the youths in the Local Government. Once more on behalf of the government and good people of the Saki East Local Government, accept my warmest congratulations on your successful completion of the National Youth Service Corps one year programme. Farewell to you all and may Almighty God continue to bless you. Thank you.
